Our Whānau Story
Kete Kai Café is a family owned and operated café in Selwyn, Waitaha, Canterbury. We strive to create a welcoming family friendly atmosphere, with generosity and an influence of traditional Māori flavours in our Kai, our Food.
Hēni Ellison and her family are passionate about organic food, sustainable practices, and manaakitanga, hospitality and look to the local whenua, the local land, for food sources.
We use fresh local ingredients from the Canterbury plains and Te Waihora region.
